Sixty accused of violating home-quarantine questioned

The Public Prosecution has completed its questioning of 60 individuals who have been accused of violating home quarantine orders, in line with measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
The individuals were instructed by specialised doctors to self-isolate at their residences for 14 days after coming into contact with active cases. Upon following up, however, authorities discovered that they did not adhere to the orders and left their homes at different times.
The Public Prosecution began its investigations after receiving a report of these violations. The questioning of the individuals is now complete and the Public Prosecution is now verifying the defence of some of those accused, as the next steps in each case are being determined.
