200 Bahraini Families producing facemasks for free distribution

In continuation of the national efforts to limit the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid 19), the Ministry of Labor and Social Development launched its national initiative to manufacture masks that are distributed free of charge to all citizens and residents in Bahrain and is produced by 200 families and trainees graduates.
In this context, Mrs Aisha Muhammad Al-Zayed, Director of the Family and Child Development Department at the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, stated that this national initiative aims to produce 100,000 medical masks, within a month, and it will be distributed free of charge to citizens and residents, where 50 masks will be produced per day at an average of 250 As it is weekly, indicating that production will be in the home of the family or in the production units of the social centres, which will adhere to the directions of the official authorities to limit the spread of the Coronavirus, in terms of limiting gatherings and adhering to social divergence measures while wearing masks.
Al-Zayed said that the Ministry of Labor and Social Development will ensure the provision of raw materials for production to productive families, explaining that a comprehensive plan has been developed to distribute masks free of charge to citizens and residents, within the framework of community partnership and coordination of national efforts in cooperation with government bodies, civil society institutions and individuals with societal activity.
