AGU awarded accreditation in Innovation Management

The Arabian Gulf University (AGU)’s PhD in Innovation Management has been certified by the US-based Global Innovation Institute (GINI).

The accreditation reflects AGU’s efforts to promote their programs in line with the current market needs in a bid to upgrade its educational processes and quality.

The Institute is among the educational leaders at the international level that seeks to elevate the human resources and institutions through bolstering cultural knowledge via offering consultancy services, training programs, researches as well as certifying academic programs linked to innovation.

“Receiving the accreditation of GINI comes within our endeavours to constantly improve our academic programs and alumni as well as to adopt the latest curricula and teaching methods to cement innovation culture,” AGU’s Head of Innovation and Technology Management Department in the College of Graduate Studies (CGS) Dr Odeh Al Jayyousi, said.

Introduced in 2016, AGU’s PhD program in Innovation Management is considered the first of its kind to be launched in the region.

The program aims at graduating leaders equipped with innovation culture. Around 50 students from across the GCC region have enrolled in the program to date.

It focuses on innovation policies, the national innovation system, technical innovation among many other topics.
