Information Minister chairs BIPD meeting
Information Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi, the Board of Trustees Chairman of Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD), chaired today the board’s second regular meeting using the Visual Communication Technology (VCT). Members of BIPD Board of Trustees and the institute’s Executive Director participated in the meeting which cast light on the success of the “Political Awareness” programme and the massive popular response to it with the number of participants reaching 892.
The meeting also shed light on the electronic lectures presented to members of the Shura and Representatives Councils to boost performance as well as the national and democratic work in the kingdom. Recent programmes implemented by BIPD for many institutions and awareness publications were also reviewed.
The BIPD Board of Trustees also reviewed programmes to be carried out by the institute in light of a plan set for the next period, including holding eight lectures during the holy month of Ramadan to boost political and democratic awareness among all social components. It also spotlighted cooperation between the institute and the national parties to promote democratic awareness among the national competencies and boost their competence.
