Health Ministry sets health centres, SMC Ramadan timings

The Ministry of Health announced yesterday the timings of health centres and Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) during the Holy Month of Ramadan as follows. Health centres will be open from 8am to 7pm every day, except for Fridays and Saturdays.
A few select health centres will be following their own timings. The Northern Muharraq, Hamad Kanoo, and Yousif Engineer health centres will be open 24 hours a day, while the Mohammed Jassim Kanoo Health Centre (Roundabout 17) will be open from 8am to 11pm seven days a week.
Regarding SMC, outpatient clinics will be open from 8am to 12noon. For new consultations, medical staff will call patients to confirm examination times. For SMC’s extended clinics, they will be open from 2.15pm to 5pm. Visiting times at SMC will be between 8pm and 10pm on Fridays, Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays. Visits to patients at the Intensive Care Unit, cardiac wards and the burn unit will be from 8pm until 9pm. Regarding the working hours of SMC’s pharmacies, the outpatient pharmacy Al Fateh and the hematology and oncology pharmacy will be open from 8am to 1.30pm in order to dispense new prescriptions and controlled prescriptions.
On prescriptions for follow-up patients, they will be through the specified link for this service, which is available on the website www.moh.gov.bh/eservice/ pharmacy. The medicines will be delivered to the patient within 48 hours from the time the application is received.
