Health Ministry announces 47 recovered COVID-19 patients

The Ministry of Health announced 47 new recoveries from the coronavirus (COVID-19) yesterday. These patients have been discharged from their treatment centres. That brought the total number of discharged patients to 1,160 as of last night, according to the Health Ministry’s official website. The Ministry also announced the registration of 70 new active cases. From these, 51 were expatriate workers while 19 were contacts of active cases.
All new cases have been transferred to treatment centres and are receiving 24-hour care from special medical teams. The total number of active cases rose to 1,421, all but two of which are stable. Meanwhile, the Health Ministry has stressed that the early detection of COVID-19 cases amongst expatriate workers and quarantining contacts of new cases expedites treatment and strengthens precautionary measures established to safeguard the health of citizens and residents.
