Health Ministry announces 29 newly recovered COVID-19 patients

The Ministry of Health announced yesterday 29 new recoveries from the coronavirus (COVID-19) disease. This was reported by the Ministry on its official account on social networking service Twitter. The 29 individuals who recovered have been discharged from their dedicated treatment centres. The total number of recovered cases in Bahrain increased to 1,189 as of last night, according to the Ministry’s official website.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry also announced that it has registered 44 new active cases of COVID-19. Of these, 32 are expatriate workers, 10 are contacts of active cases and two are travellers who have returned from abroad. All new cases have been transferred to treatment centres and are receiving 24-hour care from special medical teams. Their discovery has brought the total number of active cases in Bahrain to 1,450. All of these cases, with the exception of two, are stable.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry has stressed that the early detection of COVID-19 cases amongst expatriate workers and quarantining contacts of new cases expedites treatment and strengthens precautionary measures established to safeguard the health of citizens and residents. The total number of tested reached 114,110 as of last night.
