Education Ministry renews licences of 53 kindergartens

The Ministry of Education has renewed the licenses of 53 kindergartens which have met the requirements stipulated by Decree-Law 25/1998 on Private Educational and Training Institutions. This was confirmed by the Ministry’s Acting Director of Kindergartens Dr. Lubna Sulaibeekh. Meanwhile, the licenses of five kindergartens have not been renewed until they complete the procedures within a month, said Dr. Sulaibeekhthat.

Kindergartens that do not rectify their situations may have their licenses withdrawn. Dr. Sulaibeekh underlined the Education Ministry’s keenness to encourage investment in private educational institutions, including kindergartens, as well as facilitating their licensing or renewal procedures. She emphasised that the Ministry attaches utmost importance to the issue of security and safety in private educational institutions, including kindergartens, in order to ensure the safety of children while they are in those buildings.
