Infant, two children among four rescued from Budaiya house fire
TDT | Manama
Four people were rescued by the Civil Defence yesterday as they extinguished a fire in a two-storey house in Budaiya. Those evacuated from the blaze included an infant and two children. Initial investigations indicate that a short circuit was the reason for the fire, the Ministry of Interior reported.
In light of this, the Ministry reminded citizens and residents to leave their homes only for essential activities, and when they do to follow all home-safety procedures. These include ensuring the safety of any oven connection and not allowing children inside the kitchen while cooking.
Meanwhile, the Civil Defence also extinguished car fires in two different areas. One car caught fire in Hamad Town because of a short circuit. The other was in Al Dur; the reason behind the incident is still under investigation, the Interior Ministry said.
