Bahraini citizens instructed to contact Embassies for repatriation

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on Bahraini citizens currently in Saudi Arabia and Morocco to contact their respective Embassies to register their data in order to coordinate their return home.
The Ministry posted on its official account on social networking service Twitter the numbers citizens should call if they wish to come back to the Kingdom, in light of the global coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.
The efforts are part of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s International COVID-19 Repatriation Programme (ICRP), which has already coordinated the return of thousands of Bahrainis from across the globe. It is scheduled to continue until the middle of the month.
As part of the ICRP, the Ministry of Health announced the arrival yesterday of a Gulf Air-operated flight carrying stranded citizens from Iran. The citizens underwent preventive medical protocols upon their arrival, to ensure the health and safety of all those involved.
