BD9.5M projects in Tubli Bay development plan to be completed in 2021

BD9.5million worth of projects as part of the development plan of Tubli Bay will be completed next year, it emerged yesterday. This is according to the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, stating that the projects had already begun.
During a virtual meeting with Deputy Premier Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Ministerial Committee for Development and Infrastructure Projects reviewed the progress of the Tubli Bay development, aimed to introduce approved environmental standards and requirements.
The meeting was in line with His Royal Highness the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa’s order to implement the Tubli Bay development plans, preserve its natural environment, address the damages to its wildlife and marine life, and beautify its surrounding area.
Shaikh Khalid, the committee chairman, stressed that HRH the Premier’s interest in the Tubli Bay issue reflects his keenness to provide a healthy and secure atmosphere for everyone, which will contribute to achieving one of the sustainable development goals related to clean water and sanitation.
Meanwhile, the committee also discussed the infrastructure requirements of the first phase of the East Sitra housing project, including 1,055 units. In this regard, the Deputy Premier directed the service ministries and departments to coordinate with the Ministry of Finance and National Economy concerning the financing options of the infrastructure work for the first phase of the East Sitra housing project.
The Ministerial Committee discussed assigning the inspection of construction projects to the private sector, within the development plan of the Benayat Building Permit. In this context, the Deputy Premier requested the Works Ministry to consult as many engineering offices as possible to be informed about their visions regarding the matter.
