Labour Market Regulatory Authority has pulled down the shutters of 10 organisations that were supplying domestic workers without a valid licence in the Kingdom. The director of the Preventive Inspection Department at LMRA, Ahmed Ibrahim al-Junaid, said the operation was a joint effort with the General Department of Investigation and Criminal Evidence at the Ministry of Interior.
The authority during the inspection also tracked down 44 domestic workers supplied by these institutions. Legal measures are taken to refer the suspects to further action, said a report by Al Ayam.
Al-Junaid expressed his thanks and appreciation to all the concerned authorities that contributed to the investigation. He further called on all to deal only with those agencies licensed by LMRA to protect themselves and their children, especially in these times.
