Bahrain’s active COVID-19 cases up by 295, total over 3,000

The total active coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Bahrain exceeded the 3,000-mark last night after the Ministry of Health announced the registration of 295 new cases. Among these, 264 were expatriate workers and 31 were contacts of active cases.

Their detection brought the total active cases in the Kingdom to 3,076, with six being critical. The Health Ministry also reported 82 additional recoveries from COVID-19, increasing the total discharged to 2,152.

The Ministry also announced that to ensure the safety of all, it continues to increase its testing capacity, carrying out 6,268 tests within the previous 24 hours yesterday. The total tested has reached 190,780.
