The centre’s secretary-general Soumaya Hussein Almeer paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who announced Bahrain’s participation in the initiative, also known as “Prayer for Humanity”.

“Prominent religious leaders from the US, France, Italy, Britain, Germany, Spain, Thailand, the Philippines, South Korea, Indonesia, India, Lebanon, Russia and Brazil will take part in the virtual prayer via Zoom platform,” she said.

Almeer added that the interfaith prayer reflects HM the King’s visions and directives, aimed at promoting tolerance and religious freedom to achieve peaceful coexistence amongst all peoples.
