The patient was suffering from underlying health conditions, the Ministry said, adding that, along with all other active COVID-19 cases, she had been placed in isolation and received extensive 24-hour treatment from a specialised medical team.

The Health Ministry expressed its heartfelt condolences to the individual’s family during this difficult time. The Ministry also reported yesterday 285 new active COVID-19 cases. Of these, 184 are expatriate workers, 97 are contacts of active cases, and four are travel-related.
