Sharing the joy of Eid

TDT | Manama

With lockdown remaining in place for many countries around the world, this year’s celebration for the end of Ramadan is expected to be a muted affair.

However, amidst all the difficulties, in Bahrain, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa is making sure to bring some joy into the lives of the people here. To mark the occasion, HM the King has ordered to distribute Eid Al-Fitr gifts to widows and orphans here, who are registered with the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF).

This gesture, Dr Mustafa AlSayed Al-Ameen, RHF’s Secretary-General, said, will bring the joy of Eid Al-Fitr to the lives of RHF beneficiaries. The desire to share with them the joy will “have a positive impact on the beneficiaries,” said Dr Al Ameen adding, “HM the King is keen on providing all kinds of care to the citizens under various circumstances.”

The annual royal gesture, he said, is in line with HM the King’s interest in RHF-sponsored families. The RHF Secretary-General extended congratulations to HM the King and HH Shaikh Nasser on Eid Al-Fitr.

HM, the King directed the RHF, led by HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and RHF’s Board of Trustees Chairman, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to oversee the distribution of the royal gifts to all beneficiaries.
