Illegal nurses’ recruitment office shut down
TDT | Manama
The National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) yesterday announced that it has identified a woman who has been illegally operating an office in the Capital Governorate recruiting nurses and physiotherapists. The authority confirmed in a statement that the woman is an Asian national and that the office is located in Gudaibiya.
NHRA Health Utilities acting head Dr. Hessa Al Dossary explained that the suspect was providing nurses and physiotherapists without obtaining legal authorisation. Dr. Al Dossary stated that the woman was caught red-handed by an inspection team from NHRA while arranging to provide a client with a female nurse who is unlicensed to work in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
“The office’s licence included non-resident social work for the elderly and disabled,” Dr. Al Dossary said. “Formal records have been created, including all the evidence and relevant information to the incident. “Necessary legal procedures have been taken, including shutting down the office, and the matter has been referred to the Public Prosecution.”
