‘We serve you at Your home’

The Capital municipality has rolled out a new “We Serve you at Your Home” initiative offering more than 16 services to elderly and those who are homebound. To avail the service, those in need can call 17983438 and book an appointment.
The mobile service will reach the caller’s doorstep in a car equipped with a computer connection and other necessary equipment. Services offered include renewal of building insurances, those related to housing, issuing building licenses of less than 50 square meters, address cards, address plates and distribution of garbage bags among others.
The home service initiative, Shawkia Humaidan, Director General of the Capital Municipality, said, forms part of their social responsibility towards elderly people, people of determination as well as improving the quality of the services offered to the public. “We want the senior citizens and the persons of determination to receive the services they want without having to go to officies and apply for them.”
