Cabinet Affairs Ministry, iGA to boost cooperation

Ministry of Cabinet Affairs undersecretary His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) CEO Mohammad Ali Al Qaed discussed yesterday ways to enhance cooperation, and promote administrative and governmental work technologically to boost the productivity of government agencies and achieve a better quality of life for citizens.

HH Shaikh Isa stressed during the virtual meeting that the government, under the directives of His Royal Highness the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, cares deeply about the information and telecommunication sector, given its importance in the quality and accessibility of governmental services for citizens.

HH Shaikh Isa indicated that Bahrain has a strong and advanced information infrastructure and that it is a pioneer in providing e-government services, which have contributed to its internationally advanced position in this field.

HH Shaikh Isa noted that the Cabinet Affairs Ministry is keen to utilise the great potentials of the iGA to help achieve a qualitative shift in the government’s performance and follow-up projects being implemented by the ministries.

Al Qaed said that the iGA is keen on bolstering cooperation with the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs to help achieve the government’s strategy to ensure electronic transformation across all services.
