The US Embassy in Bahrain kicks off today its virtual summer activities series with a nine-week basketball and life skills workshop conducted by Bahrain national team head coach Sam Vincent. The workshop, which will conclude on August 13, will reach approximately 150 youth across Bahrain.

Those interested in signing up to participate can do so on GlobalCoachAcademy. com using the code CPBAH. In addition to the sports workshop, the US Embassy is also organising a virtual art exhibit hosted in cooperation with the Bahrain Arts Society. The exhibition will showcase art that is inspired by the coronavirus (COVID-19) and art that was created during the pandemic by Bahraini artists.

The exhibit will open online on June 24. Follow the US Embassy’s social media accounts on Instagram @usembassybahrain, Twitter @USEmbassyManama, and Facebook @U.S. Embassy Manama to find out more.

Meanwhile, on June 30, American jazz band, the Ari Roland Quartet, will deliver a pre-recorded jazz performance with Bahraini bass player Ahmed Al Qassim on Zoom. After the 30-minute performance is finished, the floor will be opened for 30 minutes of questions and discussion. For more information, visit the US Embassy’s social media accounts.
