Man arrested for violating shrimping ban, 450kg of shrimp confiscated

A man has been detained for violating the shrimping ban, the Ministry of Interior has announced. The Interior Ministry said that the Coast Guard Commander reported the arrest made by the Coast Guard’s land backup patrols. The offender also had 450kg of shrimps in his possession confiscated.
The 41-year-old tried to escape while loading a vehicle with the shrimps from a boat. Legal steps are being taken following his arrest. The case has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
