UNESCO decision on HRH the Premier’s initiative hailed

HRH the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has received more congratulatory cables from senior officials and Ambassadors, following the approval of the Preparatory Group of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) Executive Board to celebrate the International Day of Conscience, launched by HRH the Premier, at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris and regional offices.

In their cables, they lauded HRH the Prime Minister’s efforts and role in strengthening the pillars of peace and stability, as well as his keenness to consolidate solidarity and understanding amongst countries around the world. They extended their sincere congratulations to HRH the Premier for the UNESCO honour.

Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi said that UNESCO’s celebration of HRH the Premier’s initiative is proof of the appreciation for his achievements in the field of sustainable development. Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Ayman bin Tawfiq Al Moayyad stressed that the UNESCO decision adds to HRH the Premier’s rich record of accomplishments.

Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities president Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa said that BACA will include HRH the Premier’s initiative in its annual activities. National Security Agency president Lieutenant-General Adel bin Khalifa Al Fadhel indicated that HRH the Premier’s initiative backs the efforts aimed at consolidating human rights for all peoples, in accordance with the principles of justice and equality.

The Interior Ministry’s Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs undersecretary Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa said that HRH the Premier’s initiatives to renounce violence and extremism, promote the culture of dialogue, and pave the way for the exchange of views and peaceful coexistence have always been widely appreciated.

Supreme Council for Youth and Sports secretary-general Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim bin Hamad Al Khalifa said UNESCO’s decision to celebrate the International Day of Conscience is a global recognition of HRH the Prime Minister’s role in creating new concepts that serve peace and security at the international level.

Bahrain’s UN Permanent Representative Ambassador Jamal Fares Al Ruwaie said that UNESCO’s honouring crowns HRH the Premier’s endeavours to consolidate peace and tolerance, and strengthens international solidarity and cooperation to create a conflict-free world.
