Two more COVID-19 deaths

Health ministry yesterday reported two new deaths in 24-hours bringing the total number of casualties of Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the Kingdom to 57. Both the victims, a 64-yearold Bahraini man and a 50-year-old Bahraini woman, were active virus cases. No further details of the victims’ are released.
There are now 5,572 actives coronavirus cases in the Kingdom, according to the Health ministry website, of which 174 patients are under observation in various virus care facilities. Thirty-six people, who contracted the virus, the ministry said, are in critical conditions now and is being continuously monitored.
Out of the 20,916 cases detected so far, 5,536 patients are health-wise stable, while 15,287 patients are cured of their infections. Health authorities here have tested 462,627 patients as of yesterday. A total of 57 patients succumbed fighting the virus.
Out of 8,259 COVID-19 tests carried out yesterday, 486 new cases have been detected among 270 expatriate workers, while 212 new cases are contacts of active cases, and four are travel related. The ministry also reported 591 recoveries from COVID-19 yesterday.
