SCW wins award for caring for Arab families

The Supreme Council for Women (SCW) yesterday, won the Honorary Award for Excellence in Caring for Arab Families, 2020 from the Arab Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Network. The honour was a recognition of SCW’s ongoing efforts in promoting family and economic stability for Bahraini citizens, spearheaded by SCW president HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King.

SCW Secretary-General Hala Al Ansari highlighted SCW’s contributions since it was the first establishment 20 years ago. She pointed out SCW‘s keenness to address Bahraini women’s issues and defend their interests.

Hala also highlighted their unflinching support to the government’s efforts to combat the coronavirus pandemic and to provide social and economic support to Bahraini families, thereby boosting stability in the Kingdom. Social Responsibility Regional Network board chairman Prof. Yusef Abdul Ghaffar applauded HRH Princess Sabeeka’s efforts in serving Bahraini women and families.

SCW acting assistant secretary-general Shaikha Dina bint Rashid Al Khalifa gave a presentation highlighting the SCW’s role in promoting family and economic stability for women during the COVID-19 pandemic.
