Three more COVID-19 deaths; 629 additional recoveries

The Ministry of Health announced yesterday three more deaths from the coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the overall death toll in the Kingdom to 63. The deceased included two Bahraini men, aged 64 and 88, and a 52-year-old expatriate man. The Health Ministry expressed its condolences to the victims’ families.

Meanwhile, it was announced early this morning that out of 7,379 COVID-19 tests conducted yesterday, 434 new cases were detected, including 273 expatriate workers, 158 contacts of active cases, and three travel-related. Their detection brought the overall confirmed cases in Bahrain to nearly 22,000 ever since the first cases were registered.

There were also 629 more recoveries from the virus yesterday, the Health Ministry reported. That brought the total number of discharged in Bahrain to 16,419. The total number of current active cases went to 5,282, of which 169 are receiving treatment, with 32 in critical condition. The total tested increased to 477,788.
