HH Shaikh Nasser highlights Bahraini-Egyptian relations

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised Bahraini-Egyptian relations as the Kingdom expressed its solidarity and support for the speech made by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi regarding the right of his country to defend its national security against the developments in Libya.

A photo of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and El-Sisi was shared by HH Shaikh Nasser on his personal Instagram account. His Majesty the King’s Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs representative, National Security Advisor and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman commented on the photo “Long Live Egypt”, pointing out deep-rooted historical relations between both countries.

He stressed strong fraternal ties binding the Kingdom and Egypt, underlining the importance of continuous cooperation to serve the interests of both countries. HH Shaikh Nasser also commended the role of El-Sisi in boosting bilateral relations, taking pride in solid relations between both countries in various fields.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) expressed Bahrain’s support for the Egyptian president’s remarks on his country’s determination to protect and secure its western borders from the threats of terrorist militia and mercenaries. The Foreign Ministry hailed El-Sisi’s keenness to restore security and stability in Libya and to prevent bloodshed among its people.

MOFA hailed the Egyptian president’s speech as a clear and highly significant message to those who have the intention to compromise the national security of Egypt and Arab countries and Egypt’s commitment to its values and principles in defending Arab integrity and interests.

The Ministry also stated that the Egyptian leadership’s wisdom and genuinely true intentions towards the conflict in Libya were reflected in the Cairo Initiative to meet the aspirations of the Libyan people for security, stability and peace. It has also received regional and international support. The Ministry stressed Bahrain’s support for Egypt and all the measures taken to preserve its security and stability.
