HM King congratulates HRH Princess Sabeeka

HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa sent a cable of thanks to his wife, Supreme Council for Women (SCW) president HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, in reply to her congratulatory cable on SCW’s selection as winner of the Honorary Award for Excellence in Caring for Arab Family 2020, under the Arabia Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Network.

HM the King lauded HRH Princess Sabeeka’s role and efforts in promoting Bahraini women’s contributions in various fields of work in the Kingdom. He went on to highlight Bahraini women’s key role in the kingdom’s progress and in boosting its international status. He asserted that the women’s initiatives have always been a source of pride to Bahrain’s national growth and prosperity.

Meanwhile HRH Princess Sabeeka had also extended her congratulations for the award to HM the King, for his constant support towards the SCW since his directives to establish it 20 years ago. Shura Council president Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh paid tribute to HRH Princess Sabeeka for the award.

He praised SCW’s programmes and campaigns aimed to instill the Team Bahrain spirit, cater to the urgent needs of women and families and lessen the pandemic’s impact on women and families in the economic, educational and social fields.

Council of Representatives speaker Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal and Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA) chairperson, Ahdia Al-Sayed also extended their congratulations to HRH Princess Sabeeka for the honour. They also saluted SCW’s efforts over the years.
