Gulf Health Council praises initiatives to honour Bahraini doctors

Gulf Health Council director general Sulaiman bin Saleh Al Dakhil hailed the decision of the Cabinet, Presided by HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, to observe Bahraini Doctor Day on the first Wednesday of November every year and allocate an award named after HRH the Premier to honour distinguished Bahraini doctors in medical research and treatment.
Highlighting Bahraini doctors’ important role in safeguarding people’s health and serving the nation, Director General Sulaiman praised HRH the Prime Minister’s initiative. In a cable he sent for the same, he described the move as an extension of the Bahraini government’s pioneering role in the medical and healthcare field. He noted that the initiative will contribute to further optimizing health services not only in Bahrain but also in the Gulf countries.
