HM the King’s directives hailed

Shura Council chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh stressed yesterday that the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa—promoting life stability for all citizens, particularly those with limited income and their families— will remain a precursor and a beacon for national work. He praised the royal keenness on bringing about national accomplishments and achieving distinction in various fields.

The Shura Council chairman expressed pride in HM the King’s praise of the efforts of the executive and legislative branches to protect the pension funds. He affirmed that the legislature will boost cooperation with the executive branch to achieve sustainability of the funds and enhance their capability to honour their obligations towards the affiliates.

The Shura Council chairman stressed that protecting citizens’ interests is a top priority. Meanwhile, the Council of Representatives’ Speaker Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal affirmed that His Majesty the King’s wise approach is the best path that leads to achieving national goals and expectations, as well as the roadmap for attaining more gains for the nation and taking care of the citizens’ interests.

The Speaker asserted that HM the King’s directives to step up efforts to increase support for low-income citizens prove the unwavering humanitarian role played by HM King Hamad. The same royal directives constitute an action plan and a roadmap for the Representatives Council to carry on its efforts to take care of the citizens’ interests and dedicate their work in serving them, the Speaker said.

She pointed out that the legislative branch is keen to continue the democratic process and generate more accomplishments, despite all the circumstances and challenges, in order to reach the desired goals, guided by HM the King’s sound visions and directives.
