BCCI exhibits AI applications to businesses

The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s technology committee held a webinar themed “Leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Your E-Commerce Business”, which deliberated about the definition of AI, its applications particularly with regards to E-commerce platforms, and its benefits to business owners.

Speaking at the webinar was Infiniteware CEO Ameen Altajer, who stressed on the privileges of using AI applications to business owners, particularly in classifying and analysing data, personalising content according to users’ preferences, eliciting consumers’ feedback on goods and services, inventory taking, planning, and others.

He also highlighted that AI applications can replace routine tasks and enhance efficiency and allow access to live data, hence contribute to making effective marketing and strategic decisions. Altajer reinstated the importance of adopting AI applications and keeping abreast of technological advancement. He also mentioned some of setbacks of using AI applications, chief among which is the need for huge data to set up a new application, and ethical obstacles with regard to exploiting users’ data.
