Deputy Premier highlights Kingdom’s work scenario
Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa yesterday received the DirectorGeneral of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Guy Ryder, currently on a visit to the Kingdom to take part in the first Annual Global Employers' Summit, organised by the Bahrain Chamber ofCommerce and Industry (BCC). Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel Humaidan was present on the occasion.
The deputy premier highlighted the existing BahrainILO cooperation, stressing that Bahrain's membership in ILO's Board of Directors has enhanced the level of such cooperation.
Through achieving progress in education and training sector, the Kingdom has created a suitable environment for developing businesses, increasing investment and generating job opportunities, the deputy premier said.
He added that, Bahrain has ensured the rights of workers and addressed their issues through fostering constructive cooperation through its legislation and laws. The Kingdom has been successful in protecting the interests of workers, increasing productivity and boosting investments which creates more job opportunities, he said.
ILO directorgeneral lauded the ongoing cooperation between ILO and Bahrain and praised the Kingdom's efforts to protect the workers' rights.
