Flouting shrimping ban: Coast guards arrest three people

Coast guard patrol arrested three people for flouting Bahrain shrimping ban which is in force until the end this month. Coast Guards made the arrests from the Hamad and Sanad areas, said Coast Guard Commander.
Shrimps were seized from Sitra and Ras, based on a tip-off received.As per a ministerial decision issued on February 1 this year, fishing and sale of shrimps caught from the territorial waters of Bahrain are prohibited until this month-end. Legal measures are taken to refer the cases to the Public Prosecution.
