Sustainable energy chief makes inspection visits to project sites

Sustainable Energy Authority (SEA) chairman Dr Abdulhussain bin Ali Mirza paid inspection visits yesterday to a number of locations where renewable energy projects are being implemented. He reviewed the progress of work and was briefed on what has already been achieved.
Those in charge of the projects, who are representing local and international companies, praised the unparalleled cooperation of the authority in all matters related to technical support, facilitating procedures, and overcoming any obstacles that may hinder progress.
For his part, Dr Mirza highlighted the distinguished government support for sustainable energy initiatives, with the approved goal by the Cabinet of introducing five per cent of renewable energy into the total energy mix by 2025, and six per cent of improved energy efficiency by that same year. Dr Mirza said that the authority encourages the use of clean energy that is environmentally friendly, which diversifies energy sources in the country and preserves natural resources.
