Shura chairman lauds Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa Award

Shura Council chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh said that the Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa Award for outstanding Bahraini doctors in medical and treatment research reflects the support and care for medical staff in Bahrain in the prosperous reign of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The Shura chairman noted the allocation by His Royal Highness the Prime Minister of $200,000 for the award and the celebration of Bahraini Doctors’ Day in November. He pointed out that the award’s two categories will contribute to innovation and creativity in therapeutic, clinical and medical research and to the development of medical research for the improvement of the quality of health services.
The chairman added that Bahraini doctors are a source of pride to the society, thanks to their great efforts and sacrifices made for the country, particularly in such times when the world is suffering from the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. He also stressed that the Bahraini Doctors’ Day will motivate medical staff to exert greater efforts to improve the health sector in the Kingdom.
