AC thieves feel the heat!
Two men landed in police net after stealing an air conditioning unit, according to court files. The AC unit was stolen from a house in Isa Town, where Asian labourers were staying.
It is said that the pair sold the unit to a scrap store for BD18 by using a fake ID. Investigations then uncovered the identity of the two defendants, but the first suspect, aged 37, denied his involvement in the theft.
He told prosecutors that he was asked by his accomplice to help him to transport the unit to a repair shop. He, however, admitted to receiving BD9 from him after dropping the unit at the scrap store.
