Thai embassy closes after staff member tests positive for COVID-19

The Royal Thai Embassy announced yesterday that it will be closed until August 22 after one of its staff members tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19). The embassy said that the closure was being done as a precautionary measure and to allow for the premises to be thoroughly disinfected.
Embassy personnel will also take COVID-19 tests and undergo a period of self-quarantine, in compliance with the relevant guidelines issued by government authorities. The embassy said that in case of any emergencies, Thai nationals in Bahrain can call 33622445 or 34531660.
