HH Shaikh Nasser reviews King Hamad youth award goals

His Majesty the King ’s Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs representative, National Security Advisor and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Affairs (SCYS) chairman His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed that the launch of the King Hamad Youth Empowerment Award to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, which is on its third edition, aims to continue Bahrain’s efforts to support the international community to celebrate youth around the world.
HH Shaikh Nasser said that continuing the King Hamad Award this year despite the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis reflects Bahrain’s commitment to global youth, and reflects the Kingdom’s support for the efforts of the UN in order to give youth the full opportunity to implement sustainable development goals.
HH Shaikh Nasser added that the projects that will be presented in this edition from various categories have been linked between achieving these goals and ways to combat the COVID-19 and overcome its effects as a prerequisite for the award, which gives it flexibility and further broadens the scope of its interests.
HH Shaikh Nasser stressed that the award came to urge the international community, governmental and private bodies, the civil sector and youth sectors, to exert greater efforts and within the framework of competitiveness in order to achieve international goals.
