Summit concludes

First Annual Global Employers’ Summit, in which experts discussed various employment issues, came to a close yesterday.

Key areas of business such as labour movement, the role of the financial sector and unemployment were discussed at the two­ day summit, held in Gulf Hotel under the patronage of Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The summit was organised jointly by the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the International Organisation of Employers.

Yesterday, the summit hosted three panel sessions. The first session was on 'Trade, Jobs, and Growth'; the second on 'Promoting Inclusion and Diversity'; and the third and final session was on 'Business and Human Rights'.

Commenting on the event, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Khalid Almoayyed said,“The summit was an invaluable opportunity to exchange experiences and meet experts from round the world.” 

The BCCI seized the presence of prominent officials and business people from around the world to promote the business environment of Bahrain and its unique economic features that encourage and facilitate the flow of investments, Mr Almoayyed said.
