Bahrain opens School in Jordan

Bahrain School has opened a new premises in Jordan. It was opened in Irbid by Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) Secretary General Dr. Mustafa Al­Sayeed following directives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Held under the patronage of Supreme Council for Youth and Sport Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee President and RCO Chairman HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al­Khalifa, the inaugural ceremony was attended by Jordanian Prime Minister Dr. Abdulla Nsour.

Shaikh Nasser paid tribute to HM the King, the RCO Honorary President, hailing the Royal initiatives to support the needy and disaster­stricken people and provide humanitarian relief­aid to Syrians.

He hailed the support of Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al ­Khalifa.

The RCO Chairman reiterated Bahrain’s unwavering support to Syrian refugees who fled their war­torn country and commended all government and private parties in Jordan, hailing deep­rooted historic relations bonding the two friendly countries.

Jordan Deputy Premier and Education Minister Dr. Mohammed Mahmoud Al- Dhunaibat lauded HM the King for setting up development projects for Syrian refugees as part of efforts to alleviate their suffering.

Dr. Al Sayeed said that the school is part of Bahrain’s contribution which was announced by Prince Salman at the International Donors’ Conference on Syria, which was held under the patronage of Kuwaiti Amir Shaikh Sabah Al­Ahmed Al­Jaber Al­Sabah.

Built on 2835 square metres, Bahrain School includes 19 classrooms, a library, a science lab, two computer labs, a teachers’ restroom and other facilities.
