Three COVID-19 deaths; one million tests conducted

The coronavirus (COVID-19) took the lives of three men in Bahrain yesterday, while the number of tests conducted in the Kingdom went over the one-million mark. The deceased included two citizens, aged 54 and 68, and a 70-year-old male expatriate, the Ministry of Health announced. Their passing brought the total number of virus-related casualties in the Kingdom to 178.
The Health Ministry also announced early this morning that out of 9,647 COVID-19 tests conducted yesterday, 369 new cases were detected. These included 134 expatriate workers, 232 contacts of active cases, and three travel-related cases. There were also 357 additional recoveries from the virus yesterday, bringing the Kingdom’s total number of discharged individuals to 44,278. The total tests conducted in Bahrain increased to 1,000,787.
