Royal Humanitarian endeavours in spotlight

TDT | Manama

Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, has consolidated the concepts of humanitarian work in all its dimensions, Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) secretary-general Dr Mustafa Al Sayed said yesterday. This has made human practices a living reality, a robust culture and a commendable approach, Dr Al Sayed stressed in a lecture, held remotely.

The royal high interest in the work of the foundation—within HM the King’s vision and under the leadership of HM the King’s Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs representative His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa—have given it a more comprehensive dimension in its charitable and humanitarian work.

They have also allowed the RHF to keep pace with modern requirements and the broader concept of humanitarian work, in line with the principles of religion to honour human beings and to reach professional standards in its work, Dr Al Sayed added.

The lecture about the RHF efforts in Bahrain and abroad was organized by the Council of Representatives secretariat-general to mark World Humanitarian Day— the international day dedicated to recognise humanitarian personnel and those who have lost their lives working for humanitarian causes.

Dr Al Sayed highlighted the endeavours of the RHF in Bahrain and abroad, including caring for orphans and widows, the groups that benefit from the foundation’s work and services, the development projects that the foundation is implementing in various fields, and the foreign aid and relief campaigns that the RHF has provided to afflicted countries.
