Southern Governorate discuss labour camp density concerns

Southern Governor His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa chaired the 11th coordination council meeting, which was held remotely. The Southern Governor commended the efforts aimed to enhance security and community awareness and promote compliance with the precautionary measures for combatting the coronavirus (COVID-19).
He stressed coordination and follow-up with a joint team, which includes the Southern Municipality, the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), and the Southern Police General Directorate. The session outlined results of the joint team’s field visits and efforts to reduce the density of labour camps.
The Southern Governor hailed the initiatives undertaken by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development, stressing keenness on supporting social associations and establishments. He was updated about the progress of work on mosques located at housing projects, in cooperation with the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs, and the Ministry of Housing.
