Northern municipality launches Ashura campaign

The Director-General of the Municipality of the Northern Region, Lamia Al-Fadala, announced launching a campaign in cooperation with the Jaffaria Waqf Directorate and municipal council on the occasion of Ashura under the slogan “we continue to commit” in line with the national campaign to combat coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Northern Governor, Ali bin Al-Sheikh Abdulhussain Al-Asfoor, Vice-President Yassin Zainal, board members of Awqaf administration, members of Northern Council and the heads of Matams were present. Al-Fadala, said: “The annual Ashura commemoration is an occasion of the tolerance, cohesion and freedom that our beloved Kingdom enjoys, which we may not find in other countries of the world, thanks to Bahrain leadership.”
She explained that this year’s campaign includes general instructions to improve cleanliness, commitment to pandemic precautionary measures among others to ensure the safety and security of citizens and residents.
