262,588 people entered Bahrain from October 1 to 7
A total of 262,588 people entered Bahrain between October 1 and 7, said Assistant Undersecretary for Ports, Search and Follow-up at the General Directorate of Nationality, Passports & Residence (GDNPR) on Thursday. He added that 203,208 arrived from Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries via King Fahad Causeway, 58,840 through Bahrain International Airport and 540 through ports.
The 25-kilometre long King Fahad Causeway, the terrestrial link between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, was opened on November 26, 1986. It has been used ever since by millions of travelers and vehicles, making it one of the busiest traffic areas in the Arab world.
