Community centres’ cooperation praised

Northern Governor Ali bin Al Shaikh Al Asfoor praised the cooperation of the Hussaini community centres in enforcing the precautionary measures and adhering to the regulations put in place by authorities regarding Ashura season.

This came during a visit paid by the Northern Governor, alongside officials from the governorate, to a number of community centres in the villages of Maqaba, Janabiyah, Bouri, Maqsha and Jad Al Hah, where he was informed about the centres’ commitment to health regulations put in place by the National Taskforce for Combatting the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and recommended by the Jaafari Endowments Directorate.

He revealed that the governorate has drawn up mechanisms to ensure success of Ashura season and perform the rituals securely. He stressed the importance of coordination with religious institutions to facilitate celebrating religious occasions in the governorate.

The Northern Governor underlined keenness to choose religious clerics who provide guidance and advice, thanking the community centres’ directorates for their commitment to regulations to ensure the safety of all. The community centres’ officials affirmed the importance of awareness and social commitment to applying the needed preemptive measures.
