NCC organises media and risk management webinar

The National Communication Centre (NCC) has organised a webinar on “Media and Risk Management”, presented by media expert Dr Lulwa Budalamah. In her virtual presentation, Dr Budalamah discussed the role of communication departments in risk management, which is based on measuring and evaluating risks to develop the appropriate strategies in dealing with them.

She highlighted the importance of communication departments’ awareness of risks and crises, stressing the need to identify and evaluate them, develop plans for their management, and measure their performance in order to develop them in the future. She also emphasised the need to devise media scenarios for all potential risks.

The participants from the Government Communication Network interacted with the symposium’s themes, discussed them, and commended the efforts made by the NCC to organise forums that contribute to developing government media work and strengthen the communication network among all official bodies The webinar was one in a series of knowledge seminars and workshops launched by the NCC since June, in line with its strategic objectives of unifying government media discourse, and strengthening the communication system in an effective and sustainable manner.
