Bahrain-US committed to strengthening relations

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, along with His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, met yesterday with the US President’s senior advisor Jared Kushner and an accompanying delegation at Safriya Palace.

During the meeting, HM the King highlighted the historic ties between the Kingdom and the US, which span more than 120 years of diplomatic relations and more than 75 years of military cooperation. HM King Hamad emphasised the strength of bilateral relations, noting their continued progress in many fields, supported by a joint commitment to deepening ties to benefit the interests of both countries and the security and stability of the Arabian Gulf.

HM the King welcomed Kushner’s visit to the Kingdom and noted the US Administration’s significant efforts to support peace and stability in the region. HM King Hamad further emphasised that GCC solidarity and stability depend, on all issues, on Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; affirming Bahrain’s unwavering support to its brotherly Kingdom in achieving further regional prosperity and stability.

HM, the King also highlighted the UAE’s historic and continued efforts to support the interests and causes of Arab and Islamic nations, and their determined endeavours to reach a just and comprehensive solution that guarantees the Palestinian people their legitimate rights and lasting peace in the region. HM the King conveyed his greetings to US President Donald J Trump and wished the US further success and prosperity.
