Ministry delays school reopening

The Ministry of Education has yet again delayed the resumption of classes at public schools, citing a spike in coronavirus cases. As per a new directive, public schools will have to wait two more weeks to resume classes. Teachers and administrative staff, supposed to resume duties today, were also stopped. They could now rejoin on 20 September 2020.
The latest move is as per the directive of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Prime Minister based on a recommendation by the National Medical Team. A recent rise in the number of Coronavirus cases in the Kingdom also influenced the decision. The private schools would resume classes on the 16th this month, as announced earlier.
