Two Asians detained for bootlegging; four for indecency incitement

Two Asians have been detained in separate cases for illegally selling intoxicating drinks, the Ministry of Interior announced last night. The first was a man aged 51 years old, while the other was a woman of the same nationality aged 64. The ministry stated that the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science director-general reported the arrests after receiving information about the two suspects.

The necessary investigations were then carried out, which resulted in their identification and their eventual arrests. A number of alcoholic drinks in their possession was also confiscated. Meanwhile, the ministry also reported that Anti-Human Trafficking and Protecting Public Morals police managed to arrest four Asian women between the ages of 21 and 25 for inciting the practice of immoral acts through social media.

The department’s director-general pointed out that after the women’s posts were seen online, an investigation and search were carried out, which resulted in their identification and apprehension. The General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science director-general indicated that all legal measures have been taken and cases have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
