HM the King issues decree forming Islamic studies’ college board

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued a decree yesterday forming the Abdulla bin Khalid College for Islamic Studies Board of Trustees. Chaired by the Minister of Education, the board of trustees comprises the following members: Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) representative Dr Shaikh Abdullatif Mahmood Al Mahmood;
SCIA representative Dr Shaikh Salman Shaikh Mansoor Al Sitri; the University of Bahrain president; the Ministry of Education’s Education and Curriculum Affairs undersecretary; the Sunni Endowments Council chairman; the Jaafari Endowments Council chairman;
the Higher Education Council Secretariat-General Scientific Research director; Supreme Judicial Council representative Shaikh Dr. Fareed Yaqoob Yousif Al Miftah; King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence member Salah Yousif Abdulaziz Al Jowder; Jaafari Endowments Council member Mahmood Nasser Majid Al Tublani; Religious Institute principal;
Jaafari Religious Institute principal; and the Abdulla bin Khalid College for Islamic Studies Dean. The members will serve for a four-year term. The Minister of Education shall implement the Royal Decree, which takes effect the day after its publication in the Official Gazette.
